FLYSPEC Deployments

Volcanoes at which FLYSPEC has been a major instrument for easily measuring SO2.

Volcano icons are the volcanoes at which FLYSPEC measurements have been made and of which we are aware. The small blue butterflies are the locations of organizations which have bought and own one or more FLYSPEC spectrometer systems.

FLYSPEC tries to support Practical Environmental Science.
We began our development and measurements on Active Volcanoes thoughout the world. Proven in some of the harshest environemts on the planet, we believe FLYSPEC is ready both in terms of accuracy, reliability and simplicity of use to be offered to the envirnomental community. Applications include fenceline monitoring, validation of sulfur dioxide emission reporting, detection and quantifiaction of stray emissions, initial measurement of ship emissions and validation of fuel use within territorial waters and harbors.
